Public Service Not Politics 

I’m running for Costa Mesa City Council District 1 and I believe in public service NOT politics. Financially conservative and socially conscious, I want to build a community of collaboration and integrity. Together, we can achieve more for Costa Mesa.

I’ve lived in Costa Mesa for the past 15 years. I grew up in Los Angeles and my wife was raised in San Diego, but when we moved to Orange County, we were both drawn to the unique diversity of Costa Mesa. I attended St. John Bosco High school in Bellflower, CA and graduated from California State University Fullerton with a BA in Management and an MBA in Organizational Leadership. I have served on the Costa Mesa Cultural Arts Committee since 2015, collaborating on various projects supporting the artist community within our vibrant city. 

I am continually inspired by our amazing community, driven by a vision to create a bright future for my newborn son, and fueled by hope in my heart.

Understanding the economic and emotional hardships that many people have felt in 2020, I am not accepting any donations and am 100% funding my own campaign. This will also ensure that my leadership integrity is free from the coercion from special interest groups and political action committees, making me accountable only to the citizens of Costa Mesa.  

Priorities: 

• Preserving Fairview Park as a natural habitat 

• Reducing drug rehabilitation homes

• Restoring staffing to Police and Fire Departments

• Promoting economic growth and supporting local businesses through this unique economic time

• Initiating a plan for multipurpose trails and supporting infrastructure citywide

• Protecting Costa Mesa from overdevelopment by partnering with state and other local leaders to strategically address the demands of the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA), and avoiding high-density projects such as One Metro West 

The divisiveness we have seen over the last few years works against my naturally collaborative nature as a lifelong team builder. As a community, our unique experiences will allow us to pave the way for the better world we all hope for, starting right here in Costa Mesa.
